I guest posted on CopyBlogger a few months ago on how much your choice of words matters when inviting visitors to subscribe.

The long and short of it is that using the word &quot;subscribe&quot; is a bad choice unless you have a really savvy audience. People associate the word &quot;subscribe&quot; with paying for something.
