Delicious and Stumble Upon are the first source of traffic to Noupe. We always get an increase in subscriber's count for every new post on the FP of delicious .
I am not sure about the Stumble Upon algorithm either, it works for me anyway:)
Thanks Steven for this great post :)

Can agree about the auto-bury in Digg. I have a site (not the one linked) which got a couple of front pages in one month. Now, it gets buried when it reaches 40-50 irrespective of the story, which power stumbler submits it...

My theory is that there are large groups of stumblers who will report a site as spam or inaccurate or lame or whatever when they have to get their own story which is lagging behind yours.

It happened to me on the day when I scooped a large automobile blog. I could because I was there at the specific car's launch, and published the story a minute after its name was announced. They were 4 hours late. So it gained votes extremely fast, got comments, and just vanished from Most / Upcoming.

Do not mess with the front page hoarders!
